"All right, all right, the girls are waiting for you in the old private room," Kelsey said.

"I'll leave my bro in your care," Morton said, tossing Matthew a look of encouragement before quickly heading toward one of the private rooms deeper inside.

Matthew's mouth twitched involuntarily.

So much for gathering intelligence—turned out Morton wasn't here for that at all.

The two of them stood awkwardly in the entryway, an uneasy silence settling between Matthew and Kelsey.

"Mr. Larden, what kind of service are you looking for?" Kelsey asked.

Matthew answered plainly, "I'm just going to have some tea."

She turned and led him further inside.

When the wooden door slid open, a delicate scent of tea drifted out, welcoming Matthew into a cozy room.

Matthew nodded, making his way to the low table where he folded himself cross-legged on a cushion.
