Oliver stood there, his gaze icy as he addressed the two men, “What’s the deal?”

One of the men replied, “Our boss wants to have a word with you upstairs.”

Josefina immediately grabbed Oliver’s arm, her voice sharp and fiery, “Flyboy, where the hell have you been? Chasing skirts again? Listen up, buddy, if I catch you messing around, I’ll bust your balls!”

Josefina was the epitome of a feisty, no-nonsense woman.

Oliver almost laughed out loud. This side of Josefina was new to him.

Quick to play along, Oliver put on a meek expression, “I listen to my wife. She’s the boss.”

The two men exchanged a puzzled look.

The men were left speechless.

Josefina struggled to keep a straight face—Oliver was just too funny.

With her hands on her hips, Josefina shouted, “Get lost and don’t mess with our winnings. The place is open for business, and you’re saying we can’t win some money?”

She raised her voice even more, “Everyone, look at this! We win a little cash, and they say we can’t keep it. What kind of place is this? Are we only supposed to lose?”

A plump woman nearby clapped in agreement, completely unaware of whether her comments were appropriate, stirring up the crowd.

Onlookers turned their attention to her, while the two men sent to fetch her were fuming.
