Aspen did not mind this at all since she was already used to Andrew's training regimen back in Gabo Creek. Standing in front of the run-down cabin, Andrew performed a set of basic military-style combat moves.

"That's strange." Andrew finished his form and drew his hands back to his core, frowning in concentration.

After Aspen arrived in Chetvine and they had spent the night intimately together, something odd had happened.

The third seal had not loosened, but there was definitely a subtle change. Andrew knew this feeling all too well because it was the same sensation he got whenever he tried to force his way through the third seal with his energy.
