Evander rolled up in his wheelchair, a smug look on his face. "Lemira, is this the broke boyfriend you’ve been hiding? Don't embarrass us Langstons by parading him around. Dump him, and I’ll get you into The Silver Spoon today."

"Yeah, Lemmy, The Silver Spoon is exclusive. Only the elite get to dine there," chimed in Evelina, her nose in the air.

Orion just smirked, his voice dripping with disdain. "It's just The Silver Spoon. What's the big deal?"

Evander sneered. "Big talk, but do you even have a membership?"

Orion shrugged nonchalantly. "No."

Did he really need one? He was one of the shareholders.

Evelina covered her mouth in a mock gasp. "No membership, no entry, Lemmy! Didn't you inform your boyfriend? How embarrassing!"

Just then, the manager of The Silver Spoon bustled out with his staff.

Evelina strutted forward confidently. "Must be Asher's doing, sending a welcoming committee for us."

After all, Asher owed Evander a favor and was bound to treat him well.

The manager, however, brushed past Evelina, setting up two rows of staff at the entrance as if awaiting someone important.

Evelina, pushed aside, pouted at Evander. "Evander, that hurt!"

Evander exploded at the manager. "Are you blind? Asher set you up to treat us like this?"

He, too, had assumed these people were there for him, thanks to Evelina's remark.

But the manager simply glanced at Evander with disdain and wheeled him aside.

Flushed with anger, Evander shouted, "You'll regret this when Asher finds out!"

How dare they treat him like this!

Evelina was equally baffled. If they weren't here for Evander, then who?

The once-haughty manager now stood respectfully before Orion and Lemira, gesturing them inside with a courteous, "This way, please."
