Neil nodded. Then, he slung an arm around Jack's shoulder and said, "Honestly, Jack, I wouldn't mind if you went ahead and won my sister over. Maybe then she would stop running wild and show her big brother a little respect.

"Frankly, she really admires you and says that you're good at gaming and decent at tennis. You even write novels and translate them into Kranish. Basically, you're the first guy who has completely outshone her in every way possible. Do you really know how to write novels?"

He never thought Charlotte would discuss him behind his back. From Neil's tone, it sounded like Charlotte admired him.

Jack couldn't help but turn to glance at Charlotte, only to see her flushed face.

She glared at him and asked, "What are you looking at? I occasionally talk about you, yet you've gotten ahead of yourself."

Jack chuckled helplessly. Then, he asked, "Where did you guys go? Why are you covered in sweat?"

"We went to play basketball. Those rascals on the court were too weak, and we floored them." Neil continued, "Oh, why did my father invite you here? I can't tell what you would have in common to talk about with that stickler."

Jack helplessly said, "I'm wondering what Mr. Grant has to say to me too."

Charlotte opened her mouth slightly, as if she was about to say that Jack would have known. After all, even Jason was treating Jack as an equal. However, in the end, she held back and kept silent.

The group went to the living room and started chatting. Some were playing computer games, some were watching television, and some went off to take a shower.

From their conversation, Jack could sense that there was more to Myra and Ian than what met the eye.

Although they hardly discussed who they were in their conversations, Jack could deduce that Myra's father had close ties with Tarthy City.

Neil, Zane, Leo, and the rest were surprised by Jason's instructions.

They couldn't imagine what important matter Jason and Jack could discuss. It seemed like a huge matter. Otherwise, he wouldn't suggest heading to the study.

After all, time was a precious commodity for someone like Jason. He wouldn't have the time to waste it on any average young person.

They started to believe that Jason actually invited Jack over, and there wasn't anything inappropriate going on between Charlotte and Jack.

Jack and Jason entered the study after each other.
