A young couple entered, arms wrapped around each other. When they saw Jack and Wilhelmina locked in such a close, charged moment, they froze with their eyes widened and jaws dropped. They hadn't expected to stumble upon the couple being frisky in a secluded corner.

The guy gave an apologetic look and said, "We're sorry! You two carry on."

With that, he turned to leave.

However, the girl beside him stopped in her tracks. "Wait… Wilhelmina? Is that you?" she asked in surprise.

Wilhelmina realized it was her best friend. Relief flooded her, and she instinctively tried to break free.

Though Jack still had her pulled close, his lips brushing hers, Wilhelmina glanced at her friend with wide, pleading eyes. Her friend looked at Jack in confusion, as though sensing something was wrong.

"What are you two doing? Isn't this a little much?"

Jack's jaw tightened, frustration simmering. He silently cursed the interruption. Now that someone else was here, the intensity of the moment was broken; pushing things further wasn't an option.

Jack roughly lowered Wilhelmina's leg from his shoulder and shot a piercing glance at the couple. Then, he turned and strode away without saying a word.
