Luca didn't know about all the remarkable achievements Jack had made abroad.

Jack said, "Our classmates are all doing well. They're each making their mark in their own fields. Isaac and Joshua are currently trying out for the national professional league. I heard they're close to becoming pro basketball players!"

Luca was glad to hear things were going well for his old classmates. Then, he asked Jack, "So, what are you up to now?"

"I work in website promotion and social media," Jack replied.

A flicker of disappointment crossed Luca's face. "Wait. So, you're not working in your field anymore? And it seems like you've given up on your passion for music too?"

Jack shook his head. "I still write songs occasionally."

Luca had been too busy lately to keep up with the music charts. He had no idea Soul had made such a big comeback. After disappearing for a while, Soul had returned with a hit song, "Youth", and taken the music world by storm.

Meanwhile, the warm conversation between them sent their surrounding fans into a frenzy.

"Wow! Luca is so handsome and so down-to-earth! And his singing is amazing!"

"If only I could chat with Luca like that… I'd die happy!"

"Who's that guy talking to Luca? They seem really close, and he's kinda cute too!"

"Luca, I'm dying to talk to you too. Please, just look at me!"

Luca had no time to acknowledge the fans. He pressed Jack further, "What brings you to Tarthy?"

"I came to see my girlfriend. She's at rehearsal, so I just popped by to check it out. I didn't expect to run into you!"

Luca frowned, but he quickly thought better of it. Mateo had a point, and with so many fans and reporters around, they couldn't afford to delay their work.

He suggested, "Why don't you guys go ahead and start the rehearsal? I'll catch up with my old friend, then I'll be right there."

After all, running into Jack had genuinely excited him. Luca was already going out of his way to show respect, not wanting outsiders to sense any tension within NEOX.

But Mateo seemed intent on provoking him. Rather than accepting the olive branch, he responded with a sneer, "Don't act like you're doing me a favor, Luca. Old friend? Who are these shady characters? They look like a bunch of nobodies.

"What do you think matters more—your strange classmates or our rehearsal? We're a team! How are the three of us supposed to practice if you're not there? You're wasting everyone's time."

After speaking, he then turned his attention to Jack. "And who the hell are you? Who let you in? Get lost, bumpkin! You're in the way."
