I stood at the entrance of the kindergarten for a while before going to visit Alex.

"Ophelia, does your visit mean you still love me?"

"I am serious about you, Emily was just a game. Believe me, when I get out, let's be together, okay? I'll treat you well."

Alex's face was bruised, his eyes shining with confident hope.

I really envied his blind confidence.

Alex seethed with impotent rage, while I quickly walked into the sunlight.

With the woman shouting for him to pay her back, Alex couldn't take it anymore. He raised his fist to strike, but a group of righteous onlookers quickly pinned him to the ground.
