A Mistake Mate novel Chapter 38

My head eyes snapped away from Xander and to the right where my three best friends stood. Seth was standing with his arms crossed over his chest and a scowl on his face while Lela and Perrie wore huge grins and were practically bouncing up and down.

A burning hot blush made its way onto my face when I realized that they all had just witnessed mine and Xanders intimate moment. I let out a groan and buried my head into Xanders chest. I felt the silent laughter that was vibrating through his body as my head head moved with every laugh.

Sighing I pulled away from Xander and looked back to my friends. The two girls still looked like they were about to burst with excitement but what worried me was that the angry look on Seths face hadn't disappeared.

"What's wrong Seth?" I asked with a frown. Seths eyes glanced down at me and I saw them soften the slightest bit.

"Nothing Pais. Can I have a word with you Xander?" Seth answered. So that's what's wrong with him. Since Im an only child as we were growing up Seth kind of took on the over protective older brother job. Any boy that ever took even the slightest interest in me Seth had run off, it was annoying at first but I eventually got over it.

Seth was about to give Xander 'the talk' that he has given to every boy who has ever who liked me and it worried me a bit because like I said Seth has run off every boy he has given it to.

Xander looked surprised at first before he nodded his head.

"Yeah sure man." He answered coolly. Seth nodded his head and motioned for Xander to follow him. Xander smiled down at me before following Seth to wherever he was going. I watched suspiciously as they both rounded the corner before turning back to the girls.

Lela had a smirk on her face and Perrie looked a bit worried.

"Seths giving him the talk." Lela laughed as she tucked a strand of red hair behind her ear. My lips formed into a pout and I frowned.

"What talk?" Perrie questioned looking confused. I sighed and began to explain to her.

"You see anytime that a boy asks me out Seth has a talk with them that always sends them running for the hills." I said with a huff. Perrie let out a small laugh before her eyes lit up.

A peaceful sigh escaped my parted lips as I lay back on the soft grass with my hands tucked behind my head. The sun was beating down on my outstretched body and I was surrounded with warmth.

It was like I was in my own world as I watched my small mate completely focused on the game she was currently playing. A happy yet lazy smile rested on my lips as I watched from my place a few yards away.

Paisley bunched her eyebrows up in an adorable manner and adjusted her footing on the base as she readily waited for the current batter to swing at the softball. I couldn't help but to smile proudly when she caught the speeding ball and threw it back to home with power.

It was currently fifth period gym class and myself along with all the other males in the class lay outstretched on the grass of the large field while the females were playing an intense game of softball a few yards away.

Us guys had finished our game already so we had no other choice but to watch quietly as the girls finished up there game seeing as our gym teacher refused to let the two genders play together. So here I was happily watching my mate kick butt when there was suddenly a large shadow looming over me.

My head snapped up and I rolled my eyes when I saw my three best friends standing over me with matching grins on there faces. Cole, Dylan and Blake all held the same evil grins on there faces as they looked down at my form on the ground. They all looked creepily alike seeing as the three of them were cousins and I couldn't help but to think that they had something up there sleeves.
