When the taxi driver saw the tense expression on Anthony's face, he quickly inquired with a forced smile, "What's the matter, sir? Who are we following up ahead?"

Anthony said solemnly, "My friend has been kidnapped, we cannot afford to lose them!"

The driver visibly slowed down when he heard this, his voice shaking, "Kidnapped? Are you kidding?"

Anthony's frustration grew. "Just keep driving!"

But the driver stopped abruptly. His face was contorted with fear. He demanded, "Please get out of the car, sir! These people are gangsters. I value my life too much for this! I don't want to die!"

Anthony was so angry that he took out his wallet and threw it at the other party, saying, "I'm leaving my wallet and my ID card with you. You get out of the car, and I'll take over. I've already called the police, and they'll be here in a minute. You can't afford to lose your life either!"
