He was starting to wonder if this acclaimed actress didn’t have a few screws loose. Julius let out a sigh. “Whatever’s between us, it isn’t romantic—and frankly, it’s none of your concern. Why are you so fascinated with other people’s relationships anyway?”

“If there’s something on your mind, just say it,” Calliope offered, her tone gentle and her smile warm. “You’re misunderstanding—Julius and I are not what you think. Don’t get the wrong idea. And if you like him, that’s not a problem.”

Linnea stared at her, suspicious. “What’s with that smile? Are you encouraging me? You actually think it’s okay if I like him?”

“Absolutely. Honestly, I think you two would be a great match.” Calliope winked.

“Callie!” Julius groaned, rubbing his temples.

“Oh, so you call her ‘Callie’ so sweetly and you’re telling me there’s nothing going on?” Linnea shot back indignantly. “Don’t kid me! There’s clearly something between you two.”
