Chapter 1746: The Entrance of the Healing Sanctuary

Two hours later, the two buildings were nearly done, and all that was left was the roofs.

By this time, Garan had already taken the babies back home, leaving Althea to watch and plan on her platform. The children were impatient and wanted to play elsewhere before half an hour was even over.

What did this mean? It meant that if they weren’t on the strollers, they’d be walking to the edge of the platform.

Interestingly, because she made it in the middle of the park with denser trees, only a few people actually noticed her still there. (They did, however, coo at the babies when they headed down and went back home).

She also added a bit of black metal in the engraving of the Mercenary Hall, as well as larger columns and taller ceilings, in order to emit a certain gravitas into it. She chose certain colors and textures of the metals, so they still fit well with the current themes despite having these accents.

And she included a lot of accents, especially in the interiors. This was the first thing new mercenaries going through the Hall would see, so she invested quite a bit on it.

First impressions could go a long way, after all.

As for the Healing Sanctuary, she added a lot more softer motifs, also adding some crawling vines in some walls, to indicate that it was a place of healing.

Althea’s eyebrows rose, curious. In a blink, the platform underneath her lowered down. It was so smooth she looked like she was riding an elevator.

Without a change in her expression, she headed to queue up at the Sanctuary.

People were facing forward and didn’t notice her at first, but when they did, they offered to give up their positions. She refused.

As it was, she wouldn’t be waiting for long anyway. She’d rather observe the people ahead of her more.

It did not take long for her to know what the issue was.

"What? 5 gold?! Just for the entrance?"

Ah, so that was why people didn’t enter. Five gold was easily a month’s salary of a person with a good job. She didn’t even add anything here. This was the cost price, and whatever they earned here would be a small percentage of this amount.
