Speaking of children, they were now slowly being trained to use their powers. Since it was inevitable, it was better to let them have control.
Other than what they had observed, they actually got Grandmaster Zenno to help out to get more information. Just in case, he did not disclose that the ’subjects’ were her children, just that he encountered curious children during his travels.
To keep it a little less shocking, he apparently said they were just below 12 years old, so it was still remarkable, but nothing close to the youngest prince.
Speaking of the youngest Prince, while Zenno could not disclose the details of his state due to an oath, they could infer a few things.
Anyway, that child also seemed quite special. He was only a few years old and could already handle one of his elements. And the child had the potential for three elements: Blue fire, electricity, and wind.
Someday, Althea and Garan hoped to talk with the child’s parents themselves. They might contact them directly someday, when they confirm they really could be trusted with the children’s secret.
Anyway, they used the main bunker for training. Outside of disasters, the place was empty. People just maintained it once a week, and then replaced the stocks as needed (so the items there wouldn’t expire on them without anyone noticing). This was also to ensure that the stockpile would always be able to feed a group of people for at least a month.
For now, they were taking advantage of its covered location and its massive open space for the children to practice in without exposing themselves to outsiders.
More importantly, this was so they could use their powers without putting themselves in danger. Their powers had such potential to be dangerous; it was understandable how Harold was growing white hair again despite increasing levels.
Anyway, in the main bunker, it was safer because it was mostly open space with high ceilings. There would be no beams, ceilings, plenums, or hidden cabinets for Pepper to hide in.
This was particularly important because lately, Pepper had found a self-directed game quite fun. The adults called it ’hide and seek and don’t show up until someone has panic attacks’.
Sometimes, she’d disappear and hide in one of the cabinets. Sometimes, she’d be on the plenum (the space between the ceiling and the floor slab above), which was particularly difficult to get to because only the babies could actually fit to crawl in there.
They would only find them when someone of a decent level would hear the gentle shuffling above their heads.
They were also in constant worry that she’d blink herself in the middle of something solid. What would they do, then?
It hadn’t happened yet, and perhaps there were in-built safety measures in that power, but parents’ brains tended to imagine the worst-case scenario and then panic like hell about it, regardless of whether it was actually ever going to happen or not.
As for Meatball, he floated a lot but also started adding weight. For example, when he disliked something, he might slap it, unconsciously using his power, and therefore using a bit of strength. If the furniture wasn’t made by a woodworker, then they could get damaged.
A baby cracking a sturdy-looking piece of wood was abnormal, no matter what.
For Pepper’s exercise, they got help from Terran Survivor #001, Galleon, who inherited a high rank blink skill from the get-go.

Galleon studied the child closely, though the softness in his eyes made it obvious he was very fond of her.
