Chapter 2080: Tarron Village

Taron Village was situated some thousand or two kilometers from the Orcspine Mountains. The Orcspine Mountain was the longest mountain range in the continent. It separated the far eastern sector of the continent with the rest of it.

In the overall map, the far eastern portion it separated wasn’t that large. However, in actuality, its breadth was bigger than a mid-sized Terran country.

The orcs’ place of origin was on this other side, and that was where Althea and Garan had to go and find the second item for the babies. Tarron Village was about eight to ten thousand kilometers away from it.

Typically, at least a few weeks would be needed to travel this distance. Even if there was one town within this distance, it was only a level 1 town. Even if it were to upgrade, there were no other towns to jump towards.

Regardless, that town would be an important stopover. It was also a subsidiary under Warrior City, which was one of the reasons why Althea and Garan were helping out with this mission as a favor. They might need some resources or network there, after all. Having connections would certainly minimize delays.

Their group camped relatively close to the village, even with the many camouflage techniques they made, they did not dare eat something like a barbecue.

Instead, they ate some simple breads and crackers. Althea and Garan had buns though, which had meat and didn’t have a strong smell. They didn’t have enough stock to share with everyone, so they didn’t bother sharing the few they had.

Anyway, now they are planning on the next step. Relaying news wasn’t hard, they had aether letters. How to get in without being suspected was another thing entirely.

The orc village was large, and part of it even extended outside the walls. There were rough sheds, like slums, outside the territory walls. For most part, orcs couldn’t fit well with the system buildings designed for humans.

Most of them also couldn’t effectively control the Lord Panel nor did they have the creativity to customize buildings, limiting their options.

Hence, many of the orcs preferred to live outside the walls, creating a community out of it. They’d just head in to use the amenities, special buildings, and so on.

Orc-led villages were indeed really different. Which human village would dare build so many manual buildings outside the walls? In the orc’s case, this was a proper expansion of territory.

At settlement level, orcs didn’t fear mobs at all, huh? To them, village-level mobs were probably just a source of food that willingly entered their palms.

Of course, if it was beyond the territory lines, the Lord could not build anything there, so these were just limited to sheds and shanty houses, which were easy to make even for orcs, especially since they had some human slaves and half orcs to do things for them.

More importantly, where to find the slaves for rescue without alerting the enemies? Though they, cityfolk, weren’t afraid of these orcs from villages, they could very much hurt the humans inside their territory so they could not be reckless.

Further, hurting villagers—regardless of their allegiance—would cause them to get penalized.
