Ava signed the divorce papers without hesitation.

Lucas quietly returned to their room to pack his belongings.

Ava leaned against the doorway, her expression calm.

"It's raining outside. You might as well wait until it stops. The divorce isn't finalized yet."

Lucas paused, shaking his head firmly: "Once the papers are signed, it's over. It's best if I leave now."

He didn't want to drag things out or complicate matters further.

"Do as you wish," Ava said coldly, turning to leave.

At this moment, Lucas noticed Noah practicing the piano.

Noah glanced at him briefly before quickly looking away, showing no attachment.

Lucas gave a rueful smile. He was used to this indifference.

As Lucas prepared to leave with his belongings, Henry Walker arrived in a hurry.

Henry was Noah's physics teacher and Ava's former love.

But after Henry returned, Ava made him Noah's substitute physics teacher.

As Lucas opened the trunk to pack, a business card fell out.

It was Henry's, and the number looked familiar.

Lucas realized it was the same number that had called Ava the previous afternoon.
