Alpha Love novel Chapter 18

I go out to the backyard to sit in the field. It was only eight in the morning and pack members were already outside running around having fun.

"Having fun?" Faith smiles sitting next to me.

"Yeah. No yelling, drama, or pregnancy out here." I tell her as she laughs. "You're such an asshole." She slaps my arm lightly bringing me into a hug. "Are you okay?" I ask as I hug her back.

"We never had alone time since I can back and I just want you to know that I could never do it." She looks at me with tears in her eyes. "When those guys came to the house and yeah they beat me and touched me, but you endured the worst of it all. You're so strong and you can still sit here and smile and enjoy this."

"I have over the years of realizing who my real family was and how you guys stuck by my side even if you didn't understand my pain and that's all I can ask for. I don't and I didn't want any of you guys to feel what I been through. The physical and emotional pain that I went through as a young child." I tell her smiling. "But I've grown from it. I know right from wrong. I didn't turn out bad, right?"

"You turned out great." She smiles. "Such a great leader for all of us." "Might be giving that up." I tell her. "Becoming Luna."

"It's not technically giving it up." She says.

"Basically what it is." I groan. "I mean yeah I am faking for him and I want to be with him forever but I don't wanna be his Luna, I'll feel powerless."

"Don't think of it like that. Either way everything he decides will run through you and if you don't like it he won't do it." She explains.

"You sure?" I ask.

"It work with you and Jason, Jason being your Luna." She laughs. "That's because he's stupid." I laugh with her and she shrugs. "But it worked."

"I guess." I say laying back.

"I'll leave you alone now that we had our talk." She says getting up stretching. "Just know we are here for you."

"I know." I smile up as she walks back to the house. I feel myself drift off before I know it I'm sleeping.
