Selene's POV

The room fell silent as all eyes turned toward the doorway.

As Ronan entered, Vivian ran to him with tears streaming down her face. She buried her head against his chest, her scent marking him deliberately.

"Alpha, thank the moon you're here," she whimpered. "There's this... this shewolf claiming to be your mate."

Before she could finish, Ronan shoved her aside with enough force to make her stumble. His eyes flashed gold with barely contained rage.

"You dare call yourself my Luna?" His voice dropped to a dangerous growl. "Selene Ravengrim is my only true Luna."

"Your greatest mistake was laying claws on my beloved."

The Wolfgram feed erupted with shocked reactions:

Fear flashed in Vivian's eyes as her carefully constructed facade began to crack. "This can't be happening! Ronan, I am your rightful mate. She's trying to infiltrate our bloodline!"

Ronan cast a cold, predatory glare at both Vivian and the Elder Mother Kyra before rushing to lift me in his arms, his movements gentle despite the fury radiating from him.

His voice broke with urgency, his scent wrapping protectively around me.

"Forgive me, Selene. This betrayal is my failure."

My body trembled with pain as the emotional dam finally burst, all my suffering pouring out at once.

"Why did your mother recognize her?" I demanded, my voice hoarse.

"Why does she have a cub bearing your scent markers?"

"Why is her blood mixed with yours on a sacred pelt? Why were you with her at the Highland Center? Tell me the truth, Ronan!"

I sobbed bitterly while he held me tight against him, pressing his face into the crook of my neck where my scent was strongest.

"It's all fabricated, moonlight. You are the only one who bears my true mark."

"My heart, don't you feel our bond? It cannot be falsified."

I pointed a trembling finger at the two figures standing nearby. "The Guardians... call the Moonshadow Guardians."

"I demand blood justice under pack law."
