Reluctantly, she walked over to where he was and looked at him.

"What do you want now? Aren't you tired of wasting your time on me? I'm just a nobody. Besides, I have no powers to fight you with. You can kill me anytime you want."

She told him, knowing he didn't like to hear it.

Black Immortal frowned, opening his mouth to speak but Wu Xingxie cut him off.

"It's been a month and a half. I have things I must do." That was when she realized that a major part of her plans had been ruined. Who knows, she was probably pronounced dead by now and the Wu manor was most likely rejoicing.

"I've told you. I just want you by my side. I haven't disrespected you nor been violent towards you. I've been patient all this time because I want you to know that I mean no harm. Can't you trust me, even just a little bit?"

There was a hint of hurt in his eyes which Wu Xingxie could see. Each time, it dug at her heart deeper than the last.

"I know. Once you decide on something, no one can stop you."

"I want to show you something." He grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer.

Wu Xingxie, not expecting him to pull her looked up at him with wide eyes.

She felt her body being lifted and before she could fully register, he appeared in a different place.

Wu Xingxie looked around, her mouth opened from the beautiful scenery she saw.

They were near the top of a mountain, allowing them to see the view of the island.

"Judging from your face and thoughts, you like it." Black Immortal commented, a smile on his lips. Remnants of the past flashed through his mind, recalling the time he spent with her.

Wu Xingxie snapped out of her daze and returned to her disdainful self.

"Put me down!" She realized how improper he was being, struggling in his arms.

Black Immortal let her down, but refused to let her hand go.

"What are you doing? Holding onto my hands, don't you have any shame? I didn't want to be more rude but aren't you like a couple hundred years old? Why are you bothering a 16 year old girl who has nothing to do with you?"
