"My cousin's name is Sierra. Sierra Simmons, but her last name changed to Crawford."
"No way, that's her! Small world. She was here with us. It's settled. Samantha and I are going to throw a party this summer and you have to be here!"
"I would be honored! It was nice meeting you Sydney."
"Likewise."
Lydia passed the phone back to Sebastian.
He connected his wireless earbuds to the phone again to finish his conversation. "Baby, I will be home in the morning. Hayden and I have some business to attend to before I leave. I miss you too. The second I walk through the door, you know what to do." His smile was wide.
Lydia and I both stared at him. He disconnected his call, glancing up at us. "What? I miss my wife."
Lydia and I smiled.
Ben greeted us. Sebastian stood, giving him a hug.
"Lydia, Ben is my best friend and owner of this beautiful restaurant. The food is great!"
Lydia and Ben shook hands.
"Hey Ben," I stated.
"Hayden, it's always good to see you!"
Ben waved a waitress over.
"Hayden, let me sit next to Lydia for a sec." He scooted next to her. I sat at the end of the booth.
He placed a menu in her hand.
"Tell me what's your favorite Italian dish? If it isn't on the menu, I can make it."
"I love lasagna, but I would like to try something different. How about the veal parmesan?"
"Great choice." Ben told the waitress our orders.
I love the food at Atlas. Lucky for me I live down the street. I have lunch here about three times a month.
"I better get back to the kitchen. I'll be back."
We each drank a glass of red wine.
"Lydia, are you working on a special software?" Sebastian asked.
"I am. It's taking me longer to develop. My laptop doesn't have enough speed to accommodate my software design." Her eyes shot over to me. "That isn't code for Hayden buy me a computer."
"Hayden, let me." Sebastian smiled at Lydia.
"Lydia, it's in Hayden's nature to take care of you. There is no way that a man should be ok with his woman struggling financially when he has enough money to burn. Let him buy you the new laptop and desktop. I will tell him everything you need so you won't ever have design issues again."
"Hayden, where are you two going tonight?"
"Lydia, don't worry about it. You make sure you are lying in my bed when I get back."
She pressed her lips against my ear. "Hayden, I told you before, you can't go after every man who touches me wrong."
My fist came down firm on the table. My angry eyes met her worried ones. "I told you, I would break a motherfucker's fingers if he touched you wrong. End of fucking discussion!"
She scooted farther away. I pulled her back intertwining our fingers. "I won't apologize for taking care of my woman."
"Hayden, I'm not your woman."
"Yeah, ok."
All the shit Lydia talked about me not being her man meant nothing. She still laid in my arms that night, kissing my chest. I think it makes her feel better to tell herself, she's not my woman. Yet her naked pussy rubbed back and forth over my dick. Yep, she was naked lying in bed with me. Talk about self-control. I think she tries to push me into having sex with her, as crazy as that sounds.
Before I left the house, I held her in my arms rubbing her pussy until she came. Lydia drifted off to sleep.
Standing in the dark alley under my dark hat, I checked my watch from behind my black sunglasses. I was invisible in the black jacket, khakis, and Gore-Tex boots. I waited for Bobby to exit the bar.
"Eric, he's moving your way. You are all clear." On this mission we will keep our real names a secret, only using code names.
The moment he crossed my path, I grabbed his arm jabbing the taser into his rib cage. I yanked him into the alley. He didn't pass out from the shock of the taser. The stocky motherfucker tried swinging on me. I ducked then slammed my fist into his face and my knee into his gut. I opened the van door tossing his big ass onto the plastic lined bed, closing the doors behind me. I shoved a rag into his mouth. Sebastian drove down the alley, turning on to the street merging into traffic. Fifteen minutes later, we came to a halt outside an industrial warehouse.
Sebastian unlocked the warehouse door, turning on the bright lights. Hopping back into the van, he backed inside closing the doors behind us. It was only Sebastian and I on this trip. No body guards or right-hand men. We carried Bobby inside, zip tying him to a chair. Wearing the prosthetic mask felt natural. The short brown shaggy wig was slightly annoying. I kicked the grimy motherfucker in his balls.
