As Julian spoke again, he felt a light touch on his palm. Receiving Isabel's signal, he took a step forward.

He reached out and placed a hand on Adrian's shoulder.

The moment Adrian raised his own hand to react, a numbing sensation shot through his body.

He lost all his strength.

As he collapsed to the floor in a heap, he saw the silver needle clutched in Isabel's hand.

Julian's lips curved into a smirk. "Stephen, see our guest out. And in the future, let's not allow this kind of guest inside. We wouldn't want to catch rabies."

Stephen and the bodyguards dragged Adrian out of the Durantin estate.

Daniel had come with him.

His eyes widened at the sight.

He rushed to help Adrian, who had been tossed to the ground like a piece of trash.

Since Adrian was completely limp, it took a great deal of effort for Daniel and the accompanying security detail to get him into the car and back to their hotel.

A doctor was called. He explained that Adrian had been injected with a type of anesthetic and that it would wear off after he drank enough water to metabolize it.

After seeing the doctor out, Daniel gave Adrian some water.

"Mr. Blackwell, let me help you change your clothes."

The suit was too restrictive.

Adrian grunted his assent.

Daniel helped him into comfortable loungewear and then sat by his side.

He handled his work while keeping an eye on Adrian's condition.

Adrian lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

His dark eyes were heavy with thought, his mind a mystery.

Daniel didn't need to ask.

Isabel's personality had changed ever since she first brought up divorce.

And now she was connected to the Durantin family.

She was also good friends with Mrs. Richard.

She produced an official warrant. The local police would assist them.
