Adrian drove Selena back to her apartment.

Watching the car drive off immediately, Selena’s face twisted into a mask of pure hatred.

She went inside, wrote an email, and scheduled it to be sent later. Then, she packed a suitcase and left.

When Adrian returned to Halcyon Hills Residence, he went to check on Oliver.

These days, Oliver only had one thing to say to Adrian: “Dad, when are we going to find Mom?”

Adrian patted him on the head before turning and heading upstairs.

As he loosened his tie, he got a call from Daniel.

“Mr. Blackwell, Miss Moore has left the country.”

Adrian’s hands froze. Daniel waited a few seconds to make sure he was still listening before continuing, “She sent you a timed email. It was simple, just one sentence: ‘Since you hate me now, I’ll go abroad and stay out of your way.’”

“Which country?” Adrian asked.

Daniel replied, “The one she attended university in for a few years.”

Adrian had bought property for Selena in that country.

Whether she would actually go there, however, wouldn't be known until her flight landed.

“Send someone over.”

“You mean...?” Daniel knew Adrian was concerned about Selena—not romantically, but it would be a major problem if something happened to her. He had a good idea of what his boss meant, but it was better to confirm.

“Clear a flight path. Come pick me up now.”

“Yes, sir.”

Adrian took a quick shower, changed his clothes, and came back downstairs.

Seeing him, Oliver asked, “Dad, are you going to find Mom?”

Adrian paused for a moment, then decided to bring him along.

After he finished his business in Marendia, he could fly to the Grey Zone and make a detour to Aurelia City.

“Yes,” he said. “We’re going to find her.”

Evelyn’s flight landed in the evening, and Isabel was there to pick her up.

They had planned to go out for dinner, but Andrew suddenly called to say there was an emergency at the company and he had to return to Westbridge immediately.

Leo had to go back with him.

Amanda was worried. “What’s wrong?”

Leo kissed Amanda’s cheek. “Mom, I’ll come visit you during my school break so we can spend the holidays together.”

Amanda kissed him back. “Maybe Mom will come back for the holidays instead.”

Leo glanced at Edmund.

“We’ll figure it out later, okay?” Amanda said. “We’ll decide where the best place to spend the holidays is.”

“Okay.”

Andrew and Amanda shared a hug. “Take care of yourself.”

“You too,” Amanda’s voice caught. “Thank you... and I’m sorry.”

“Let’s not talk about that.”

After seeing Andrew and Leo off, the three women and Edmund got into the car.

Julian had arranged for a driver.

There was also a bodyguard in the passenger seat.

Being associated with Julian in Aurelia City had its pros and cons.

“Did you miss what Amanda was saying earlier?” Evelyn nudged Isabel with her shoulder. “She was saying that Adrian is targeting Mr. Parker and Mr. Reed because of you.”
