"NO!" Chloe screamed on top of her lungs as she banged at the door with her hands trying to stop him but who was she kidding. He would never give a back glance to her anymore.

With hysterical breathing she dashed towards the back door and came out into the backyard.

Her heart stuttered inside her ribcage when she heard the car engines coming to life.

With a low sob she ran around the house and towards the crusty road and her heart dropped into the pit of her stomach when she saw his car moving away.

"STOP!" She screamed and ran after the car like a mad woman. Not caring that she wasn't wearing her shoes and the sharp stones on the road were piercing her skin but how far she could go with that fragile and tired body of hers that was going to give up on her very soon.

Andrew stared at her through the side mirror of his car. His jaw clench and hands were turned into fists. His driver looked rather concerned but one deadly glare from him was enough for the man to drive away, the car.

"NO!" Chloe screamed and fell on the rugged ground roughly, getting her body scraped at different places but she again tried to stand and run but it was too late.

The cars were already gone leaving a wind of dust and dirt behind.

She couldn't breathe.

Panic attack started to hit her form with full force as she tried to inhale oxygen in but the simple task itself seemed impossible.

Soft hands grabbed her shoulders and shook her body but the girl was too gone to comprehend what was happening around her.

She noticed the black fluff curls of Sarah before darkness slowly started consuming her and before she could make sense of anything. Her brain seized and body gave up.

She went unconscious with a trembling heart and dreading soul.

She felt claustrophobic and then her eyes shot open wide followed by a shrill scream that escaped her lips.

Chloe sat on her bed looking at the wall with a faraway look. The memories came back with full force taking her calm away.

"Chase! My baby!" She screeched, throwing the blanket away as she tried to stand but the person sitting on the chair right beside her stopped her moving.

"Please Chloe, you need to rest." Came the panicked voice of Sarah and that was when Chloe noticed Sarah in the room as well as Sarah's father.

Sarah and her father were the only people who knew about Andrew from the start.

"Yes child. Doctor said you must rest." Uncle said in a soft voice while eyeing the bandage on Chloe's arms.

"You know very well what doctor has advised you. If you continue to neglect your health then you might as well not worry about Chase. At least that little baby would be left with a father figure on his head." Sarah said curtly, making Chloe's teary eyes meet hers.

"Don't say that." Chloe said in a broken voice as Sarah's heart melted immediately for the strong woman in front of her who had gone through so much.

Sarah left and within a few moments she was back with a bowl of soup. Chloe sat up on the bed as Sarah handed her the dish. Though her body was refusing to eat and her heart was sored, she still ate it quietly just to keep living, just to keep breathing.

After eating half of the content she passed the food back to Sarah. Who then handed Chloe her medicines which the girl swallowed quietly with water.

"Sleep Chloe. We'll definitely find some way tomorrow." Sarah assured her with a soft kiss on her temple she turned off the lights, and closed the door behind.

Chloe lay there wide awake with gazillions of thoughts roaming in her head. What if he took Chase back to make him just like himself.

Her chin quivered as tears again threatened to come out but she has made up her mind. She would go back tomorrow, first thing in the morning and fight for her son.

She would get Chase back and if for that she has to fight or go take help from the law. She would do it. She has lost her half soul, she can't lose the other half.

But what she didn't understand was the depth of the pain and the hatred dancing in Andrew's eyes. The same eyes that held so much admiration for her three years back, now held just hatred for her.
