Jonathan gulped before leaning down, rubbing his face against the hollow of Anneliese's neck before speaking in a hoarse voice. "You were the one who started teasing me first. Now, you won't take responsibility."

Jonathan rolled down the window a little, letting the cool night breeze brush against their faces.

After a long while, he finally looked at the woman in his arms and asked softly, "Did something happen tonight? You seem distracted."

When he had caught up with her earlier, she seemed quite shaken.

Anneliese lifted her eyes and met his gaze. Her fingers tightened around his shirt without thinking. Two more buttons from his messy shirt popped open, fully exposing his chest and revealing his faint abs.

Jonathan caught her restless hand. "Are you going to keep going?"

Anneliese quickly shook her head. Thinking of what her grandma and Brody had said, she wasn't in the mood.

She stared at Jonathan, thought for a moment, and chose to ask him directly.
