A wave of satisfaction washed over Natalie.
She turned her head to look at Sebastian. “Alright. I’ve never had that kind of VIP treatment in my life. Go on, clear the room.”
As long as it wiped that smug look off Joanna’s face, she was all for it. It wasn’t her money, after all.
Joanna was trembling with rage, her fists clenched so tight her nails dug into her palms. The sharp pain did nothing to quell the fury in her heart.
What right did Natalie have to enjoy such treatment?
“Sebastian, there are so many people here. If we kick them all out, it will damage our reputations,” Joanna said in a low voice. The movie hadn't even been released yet, and as a newcomer, she couldn't afford a single scandal.
Sebastian knew she had a point.
He raised an eyebrow at Natalie and then delivered a world-shaking line: “As long as my wife is happy!”
Joanna was floored, the blood draining from her face. “What?” she shrieked, her usual gentle demeanor shattering.
Marshall frowned at Sebastian’s grand display. “Natalie, you don’t want to spend this scumbag’s money. It’ll leave a bad taste. I’ll do it. I know the owner of this place. I’ll have them clear everyone out so you can eat in peace.”
Marshall, in his mature attire, looked quite commanding when he was serious.
Natalie blinked at him. The boy was completely missing the point.
Her goal was to utterly humiliate Joanna.
Having Sebastian do for her what he used to do for Joanna would be the ultimate blow, a public display of her fall from grace. It would grind Joanna’s pride into the dust.
But he had to go and mess things up.
“Marshall, with my husband here, there’s no need for you to spend your money. You can treat me next time.” Natalie smiled sweetly at Sebastian and gestured toward Joanna. “You can go talk to the owner now.”
“Sebastian,” she pleaded, her voice cracking with desperation. “It really hurts.”
Damn you, Natalie, she thought viciously.
Why didn't Maxwell kill her in that crash? Just wait, Maxwell will be out soon, and Natalie's days are numbered.
That boy held a grudge. The entire Spencer family did, including Marshall. That’s why she had settled for Maxwell, collaborating with him to get Natalie killed.
But the last attempt had failed, and her investment had gone down the drain.
A total loss.
And Marshall, ironically, had benefited from the whole affair. The incident had served as free advertising for his development, proving he used the best materials. Buyers were now flocking to him.
Seeing Sebastian still sitting there, Natalie gave him a push. “What are you waiting for? Your mistress has a stomach ache. If you wait any longer, the pain might be gone by the time you get to the hospital.”
