In this standout chapter of the Romance novel Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen!, Theresa Winters introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.
Natalie gave a satisfied smile. Seeing her smile, as radiant as a summer bloom, the rage in Sebastian’s heart once again piled up like a mountain.
Sebastian turned to Joanna, his voice devoid of emotion. “Let’s go. If we wait any longer, the pain might be gone by the time we get to the hospital, and my trip would be for nothing.”
Joanna was speechless. He knew she was faking it.
“Sebastian, why are you treating me like this too?” Joanna was on the verge of tears from anger.
Even though Sebastian was taking her to the hospital, his words were a sharp slap in the face. It felt like he was defending Natalie.
Was she overthinking it?
She looked down and saw Natalie smiling.
Natalie thought to herself that Sebastian was finally seeing things clearly.
Joanna left in humiliation.
Marshall said intentionally, “Great, now we don’t have to eat with Joanna. It’s disgusting, I was afraid I’d catch something!”
Marshall came from a well-mannered, privileged background. For him to say something so harsh showed how much he truly despised Joanna.
Joanna spun around, glaring at Marshall with fury. *You bastard, just you wait.*
Seeing the murderous look in her eyes, Natalie felt a flicker of concern for Marshall.
She warned him, “Marshall, she’s got her sights on you now. Be careful.”
“Natalie, her methods are so underhanded. I’m honestly a bit scared of her. After all, we’re decent people, we wouldn’t stoop to her level of dirty tricks.”
His words made Natalie laugh wryly. “Marshall, I can’t agree with you there.”
He was capable of it. In their past life, he had done such things, including to her.
In her past life, her heart had been entirely devoted to Sebastian, and she had paid little attention to the outside world.
“Don’t overthink it. Nothing will happen to you. But Maxwell might be in trouble. He’s getting out soon.”
Natalie didn’t know what Maxwell would do. If he still chose Joanna, then they would be the ones in danger.
Marshall knew Maxwell was getting out in two days, but he wasn’t worried. Their company was in crisis, and Maxwell would be too busy dealing with business matters to cause trouble.
Natalie suddenly asked, “Marshall, when does construction start on that land Joanna bought?”
Marshall had been waiting for this to blow up. He said excitedly, “Not yet, Natalie. It’s been snowing recently, so they haven't started. Probably in about a month. But they’ve been pulling in a lot of investment lately.”
Natalie mused, a half-month had passed.
Wendy’s company issues were about to explode. She smiled. “Next, Joanna won't just have a stomachache. This will probably take half her life. Let’s just wait and watch the show.”
