Natalie didn't spare Sebastian a glance as she turned and left with Marshall.

Sebastian watched her retreating back, his lips pressed into a tight line. He sneered internally. Between Marshall and Matthew, who would Natalie choose?

She would rather choose either of those men than have him back.

Wendy watched Natalie leave, feeling utterly helpless.

Realizing it was Sebastian holding her, she became furious. “Sebastian, is this what you and Joanna wanted? My family is destroyed. I’m begging you, please, leave Natalie alone.”

Wendy clutched Sebastian’s arm desperately, on the verge of dropping to her knees.

Natalie wanted a divorce, which meant Sebastian must be planning to harm her too.

Sebastian’s eyes glinted with a cold light. “Mrs. Scott, what nonsense are you spouting? Why would I need to ‘leave Natalie alone’? I haven’t done anything to her. And I had no hand in your company’s affairs. Why did you say that to everyone earlier?”

Wendy laughed coldly and pushed him away. “Sebastian, you would give your life for Joanna. Without your help, do you think she could have taken over my company?”

Sebastian’s lips twisted into a deep, mocking sneer. “Mrs. Scott, I, Sebastian Griffith, am not so despicable as to do something like that. I had no part in Joanna’s takeover of your company.”

“Fine! Even if you weren’t involved, then divorce Natalie. I know you’ve always wanted to marry Joanna. You love her more than life itself. Marry her and you two can live happily ever after. Just let Natalie go.”

Her face was streaked with tears. This was the only thing she could do for Natalie now. “Sebastian, I took care of your mother for years. For the sake of that kindness, please, let Natalie go, won't you?”

Back when her company was in crisis, Mr. Griffith Sr. had demanded Natalie’s hand in marriage, and Joanna had conveniently run away.

At the time, she had favored Joanna, and so she had watched as her own daughter walked into a trap—a trap she herself had pushed her into.
