He watched her, a predatory confidence in his stare.

Cynthia didn’t answer immediately.

“You’re so certain of my guilt that you’ve brought a team to seize my files,” he pressed, his voice low and challenging. “You must have some proof. Or are you afraid to take the bet?”

“Fred, take the tower and the monitor,” she instructed.
