Can't Get Near The Alpha King novel Chapter 36

I cannot physically wait five months til the next season, that's just horrible! As I'm watching the episode, I snuggle in my cotton blanket - its soft material molding to my body shape.

Around half way through the episode I hear the front door open, I can tell from his scent that's it's Ashton so there's no point in me worrying.

"Oh you're awake love, how are you?" He says as soon as he realises I'm not in a deep slumber, for the second time today.

He walks round the couch and kneels next to me, his hands gently cupping my cheeks and his lips tenderly kissing my forehead.

"Mmhmm, I'm good now thank you, and you?" I reply, already feeling better with his presence and touch.

"Fine, it's around midday - you slept for about another 2 hours, we can have some lunch and you can get in the shower. Then I propose we go to the Social." He says to me and I nod, I reluctantly throw the warm, comforting blanket off me and get off the couch.

Once I'm off the couch I envelop my muscular mate into a hug, a thank you for what he did for me this morning - he wraps his arms round me and nestles his in my neck.

He makes a sound of approval but it's muffled, he then takes his head out of my hair and says, "You don't have to thank me love, this is what mates do for each other."

I nod and kiss his cheek, he leans into my touch but I pull away before another redo of this morning can take place. I head upstairs and strip off my clothes and jump in the shower.

I relax with the water on me, I swiftly wash my hair, making sure to massage the soft substance into my scalp. Once I've finished all the necessary bits and bobs, I jump out the shower and dry myself off, my damp hair constantly dripping cold droplets down my back.

Once I'm fully dry I choose an outfit, I decide upon a silver skirt, black tank top and black velvet knee high boots - wanting to look trendy and good for the new pack. I let my hair partially air dry but still giving it a slight bit of attention with the dyson, soundless hair dryer.

I walk down the stairs and enter the kitchen to see Ash finishing off preparing our food, good timing if I say so myself.

Ash looks over his shoulder and his eyes rake my body mercilessly, he cat calls and raises his eyebrows, I blush slightly but smirk confidently - as they say "a girl wears confidence the best" or something like that.

I meet Ashton's Beta again, Nick, I also meet more of his members like his Delta and other Heads of sections.

Nick contanstly makes me laugh, he keeps saying little jokes in my ears, sometimes he would tell me stories about Ashton or other members of their pack; some very embarassing.

I speak briefly with Ashton, Nick and Blake about the pack ceremony, as there are 700 people it will take a while. That's something that I'll need clear head space to figure out.

Everyone is very complimentary towards me, about myself or the pack or location; I blush ferociously when they compliment me, as I'm quite modest with what I have.

We sit on the couches inside and outside, around 1,000 members present with the low music playing from the Sonos speakers, drinks and food on the buffet table that allows people to have their fancy.

When I finally get a moment to myself I think about events that should take place soon; the pack entering ceremonies, a massive party for everyone in the day and adults in the night, the Social House needs to have an extension as well as the Pack House, as well as this, we are in the process of building new houses so once they're done everyone can settle in.
