Alyssa pressed her lips together slightly. "Every woman is intelligent, remarkable, and unique. It's just that I'm slightly more experienced in this area, thanks to all the time I spent matching wits and fighting for survival against your boss."

Even though she came from an incredibly prominent family, she had never considered herself particularly exceptional. If possible, she would have preferred to be an ordinary person—staying far away from the treacherous business world, living a mundane life, and growing old with the love of her life.
