Charlotte nodded, not holding it against her. "I figured it out a while ago."

Lilith just smiled without saying anything.

"So what about this time? Are you just here in Eldermere City to join the spectacle?"

"That's right," Lilith said with a smug look. "You guys need investors, right? Well, I know a major player. If she likes your project, you're golden."

Seeing Charlotte frown, Lilith quickly explained, "Don't worry, it's not my cousin. This person is so influential in the capital that even my family, the Sutherlands—heck, even my uncle and Grandma Rosemary—have to show her respect."

"Sean and Wesley are so protective of her. But if she marries into the Lowe family, they can't very well interfere in your family's affairs, now can they?"

A vicious, eager look flashed across Tobias's face. "Yes, that's it! She's arrogant now, but once I get my hands on her, I'll teach her how to be an obedient woman!"
