One year later.
Jayda Miller considered herself as one of the luckiest people on earth. As each day passes by, She never fails to thank God for blessing her with an amazing husband, beautiful children, wonderful family, amazing friends who turned family and also, her successful career.
Getting married to Sebastian was one of the best things that have ever happened to Jayda. Her love for him increased day by day. They've only been married for a year and Sebastian kept his promise by making each day memorable and making She and their children happy.
Of course, they argued and had little misunderstandings in between but they loved each other so much that it was hard for them to stay mad at one another for so long.
Jayda had a hard time balancing her career with being a wife, a Mom and a godmother but she was determined to make it work and she has been doing well so far.
Being a wife and a mom was something she never really pictured herself in but Jayda Miller wouldn't trade her present blessings for anything in the world.
"Asides the documents you need to send to some of our clients, I think we've done everything on our to-do list for this week." Jayda said to Anna, her Secretary"
"Yes, just like every other week, we've completed this week's task," Anna replied to her Boss.
"Okay then," Jayda rose to her feet behind her desk and started gathering her things.
Anna smiled, her Boss was getting ready to go home. The most she had stayed back at work since she got married was 6:30 Pm but usually, by 5:30, she was always on her way home. And if there was any extra work, Jayda took them home to complete them.
Jay had shown Anna that It was possible to have it all. (a successful career and a wonderful family)
"So, I'll see you on Monday," Jayda smiled. "My babies will be expecting me by now and I still have to make dinner. Between, we have guests coming over tonight."
"It's fine. I'll email the documents and leave as soon as I'm done."
"Okay dear, I'm a call away if you need any clarification on anything."
"Sure, Have a wonderful weekend. My regards to Ariella and Aaron."
"Thanks, I will and you too." Jayda gave Anna a hug before Anna made her way out of Jayda's office with some files.
Jayda was glad her home was not that far from her office. It was just a fifteen minutes drive which was why she rejected Sebastian's offer to get her a driver.
Instead of going straight home, She stopped by the grocery store to pick up a few items for dinner and for the weekend.
Funny enough, Jayda hadn't gotten much of paparazzi's drama. They were only around her when she was with her kids or with Sebastian. They never approached her when she was alone. The highest they've ever done was to take a picture of her at a distance.
But Jayda thought they always stayed away from her when she was alone because no one wanted to mess with a known lawyer. She also had a bodyguard who was always watching out for her at a distance. Sebastian did a lot of pleading before Jayda finally agreed to have someone watch her at a distance.
As soon as Jayda pulled up in the driveway, She was welcomed by Isaac, the Butler.
"Welcome ma'am" He greeted when Jayda came down from the car.
"Hello, Issac." She smiled at the hardworking man who was in his early forties. He was about to assist her in carrying her bag but she stopped him politely.
"Thanks, Issac, don't worry about this. There are groceries in the back seat." Issac nodded and reached for the items. "You can tell Lisa to start prepping the ingredients, I'll join her in the kitchen soon."
"Okay, ma'am," Issac replied, proceeding to the kitchen with the groceries through the back door.
With the birth of Ariella, Sebastian decided to hire a few help: the Butler, cleaners, a chef and of course security officers to guard the house.
Jayda was against it at first. She wanted to learn how to take care of her home herself. But because she had work and her family to take care of, She eventually gave in to Sebastian's idea.
Four tiny arms hugged Jayda's legs tightly when she stepped into the house.
She smiled proudly. This was the most amazing part of her day. The thing she always looked forward to. No matter how stressed she was from work, her children's hugs and kisses took all her worries away.
"Welcome mommy. I missed you." Aaron said. Katie was on a business trip so Aaron was stuck in his second home for almost a week now. The little boy had come to understand that he had two homes. He honestly had no problem with that because he was loved everywhere (whenever he was with Sebastian, Jayda, Ariella and their families and friends or whenever he was with his real mom, Katie and her boyfriend, Richard.)
"Mama, ah miss you," Ariella said in her cute baby voice.
Stella, the childrens' nanny, collected Jayda's bag from her so she could cuddle a little with her kids.
