Jeans and T-shirts were usually my favorite clothes. I had never worn such a beautiful but exposing dress. You could tell the uneasiness at my heart just by looking at my expression.
They push me to Smith's front.
Smith didn't say anything, but his eyes didn't tear away from me for even a second. He clearly was very mesmerized.
"Change it." Smith took a sip of the wine glass he was holding in his hand.
I was a little surprised. Didn't I look good in it? Why did he want me to change?
He pointed at a blue one.
I quickly changed it. He really had a good taste. The new dress was not a slightest exposed, but very elegant, showing the perfect curve of my body, I could feel Smith's hot gaze on me.
"Put this on." Smith took out a diamond necklace. His sharp eyes bore into mine, staring deeply at me.
"Mr. Smith, this is too expensive. I cannot take it." The necklace seemed so expensive, I might not be able to relax all night for taking such a priceless gift. How would I pay for that?
"You should wear it unless you want to embarrass me!" Smith's tone was so commanding that I had no reason to refuse.
"God, isn't this the Sky Mermaid that was auctioned at an astronautic number?!" The designer couldn't help but exclaim and put it on for me. She whispered in my ears, "Sweetie, take my word. Smith must have fallen for you. This is an extremely expensive gift!"
"Shut up and give her makeup." Smith scolded the designer coldly. Then swirled the drinks in his hand.
"Yes, sir."
The designer seemed to be Smith's friend. She didn't blush at his commanding tone.
"Heavy makeup doesn't fit you. You have a good face. So, a simple makeup should be enough for you."
The designer is really amazing. In her hands, I seemed to have become another person coming from a wealthy family. If I were a man, I would fall for myself.
"Send the bill to my assistant. Let's go." Smith smirked, reaching out to grab my hand.
But I intentionally escaped, after all, he is my boss.
He was a little displeased, he still opened the car door for me very gentlemanly.
The car dropped us at Beverly Hills, which is a well-known wealthy District.
After arriving here, I suddenly understood why Smith insisted that I needed to dress up.
Although my dad and I attended such events before, it was many years ago. I was still very nervous.
"Are you nervous? Don't be afraid and follow me." Smith noticed my nervousness and comforted me intimately.
After entering the villa, a servant led the way. Suddenly, Smith stopped.
I looked up and saw him bending his arm as he stared at me.
I hesitated for a moment, but finally hooked my arms with his.
"Mr. Smith, welcome." Smith became the focus of the crowd as soon as he arrived. Everyone greeted him, but Smith just returned with a cold emotion. I was a little embarrassed because they would also notice me next to him. " Mr. Smith's companion is so beautiful." I couldn't be indifferent like him. So, I could only smile silently.
"Isn't this Sky Mermaid? It really matches this lady." I felt shy. But Smith seemed very happy to hear this, and he nodded to the speaker.
"She is not my companion, but my girlfriend!"
Then I was swarmed with various compliments. I really wanted to run away.
"I'm not his girlfriend..." Before I finished my rebuttal, I was feeling Smith was pinching me hard. What was he going to do? Did he want everyone to misunderstand our relationship?
"Mr. Bill Evans is here!"
I was surprised that the richest man could actually come? The Richest Group founded by Bill Evans was just like the name of the company. Richest! Its founder was also the most famous philanthropist. He organized today's party.
"Let's say hello to him." Smith led me to Mr. Bill Evans.
"Grandpa. How are you doing?" Smith calls Mr. Evans' Grandpa. Their relationship was really good. I watched their interaction like a nerd.
"It's been a long time since you came to see me, and my granddaughter has been talking about you many times." Standing next to Mr. Evans is a beautiful young girl. Hearing what his grandpa said, she looked up at Smith and blushed.
"Good evening, Mr. Smith." But when she saw me and Smith holding hands, her eyebrows quickly furrowed. I wanted to retract my hand from Smith's, but he held me even tighter.
"Miss Elsa, good evening." Smith replied politely.
"Are you Mr. Smith's girlfriend?" Elsa's tone wasn't very friendly.
"Smith even gave you a Sky Mermaid. You really have a weight in his heart. He rarely does that to a woman."
"Yes, it's rare."
I inadvertently noticed a girl standing next to Smith, and she exclaimed. "This girl is so beautiful!"
I could only smile, because I knew that if I would deny it again, my hand would hurt even more. And whether I was his girlfriend or not, this Miss Elsa already regarded me as an enemy. So, my denial will be meaningless. This life is too difficult. Mr. Evans definitely wanted Mr. Smith to be his Grandson-in-law. It was a pity. I could see that Mr. Smith doesn't like Miss Elsa.
"I'm sorry, I'm late." Warren Wilson anthologized, but his late arrival didn't make Mr. Evans angry. They seem to be very familiar.
"Sister, let's go to eat together." Elsa warmly invited me to another place. I glanced at Smith, and after seeing Mr. Smith nodding, I went to the bar with Elsa.
"Sister, Mr. Smith is so kind to you. He even felt a little worried when I invited you here." Elsa's voice carried a hint of anxiety, and I could only feel anxiety. Today I became a smiling robot.
"Alexia, you are so beautiful today." Warren walked towards us with a wine glass.
"Am I not beautiful?" Elsa said to Warren coquettishly.
"You are beautiful too!" Warren smiled and brought me a glass of red wine.
