"What?" Mona snapped. "What do you mean you're not allowed to leave?"

"I can't leave Novaderma, and I can't go to Yoreland," Berry sobbed.

Mona went silent. Hearing Berry's pathetic whimpers, it only took a second for the truth to click.

It was Yvonne. Yvonne had intentionally dug into her interactions with Berry, sparking Tristan's suspicions. And now, she had purposely trapped Berry in Novaderma, giving Tristan all the time he needed to tear their secrets apart.

"Mom, I want to come home," Berry cried. "I want to go back to Ferrowland, but I can't. They won't let me."

"Of course you can't come back," Mona said coldly. "Yvonne did this. She did it on purpose."

At the mention of Yvonne, Berry felt like she couldn't breathe. "Why would she do that?"

"Because she wasn't going to let anyone ruin Stella and Ronald's wedding," Mona replied. "She knows about you. She probably even knows you had surgery to look like Stella."
