I'd shrugged his words off and kept my eyes trained on the menu as the waitress came over and took our order, she brought our drinks then disappeared again.

The silence at our table was deafening, the tension so thick I felt I couldn't breathe. I just had to ask. "Why did you leave?" The words escaped my lips, he sighed twirling his straw inside his Dr. Pepper.

"You got to understand, I was sixteen. My parents didn't know about her being pregnant and we moved back to New York. I told her I'd be back but I just couldn't bring myself to do it...I was so young and scared and- it's the biggest regret of my life. Not seeing you girls grow up."

Tears brimmed my eyes and I leaned my head back, ridding of them. My head begun to shake in disbelief as he spoke.

How dare he? Hard for him?

My sperm-donor cleared his throat, deciding it was best to change the topic, "So. Was this move hard for you? Leaving all your friends behind?"

I waved my hand indicating it was somewhere between easy and difficult, "I only had one friend so it's not like I was leaving a lot of people behind."

He closed his eyes and snapped as the thought, "Jude, right?"

I nodded. "We've been best friends since he cut off Martha Everette's hair for calling me a whiny brat in second grade." I felt myself smile. "He's just always been there."

"Did you have any other friends?" He asked curiously.

I sipped my Dr. Pepper, "Ms. Seben's was our ninety three year old neighbor. I went over to her house and helped her or all the time."

He shook his head with an amused grin, "I mean like kids your own age."

I made an 'o' shape with my mouth and shrugged. "I used to have a few. But they all chose Chase after we broke up a few months back."

"Chase?"

I nodded and let out a deep breath. "Chase Everette. Martha's older brother. He broke up with me because Martha whined about me to her parents and told them all this crazy and fake information about me. They made him dump me and all my friends left when he did. Except Jude of course."

"Damn. What a bitch." He stated bluntly and I nodded in agreement.

"A bitch indeed."

"Did you get all your classes yet or do you get them tomorrow?" He asked me.

"Asher," he nodded his head to the doorframe.

"Shit. Let's go." He mumbled then ran. I looked back at the table, the captain didn't look scared or hurt, he looked mad. As did every other guy, the girls however? The girls were completely fawning over the three of them. Including my own sisters.

They excused themselves and joined us at the table as we continued to eat as if nothing happened.

"Look girls. I know this is something you don't want to hear, especially not from me. But those boys Blake, Damien and Asher. Especially Asher. They seem normal but they're they're dangerous. Extremely dangerous. I get the whole 'bad boy' draw to him, where you think you can fix him. But they're all too messed up to be fixed and they're involved in some very bad things and I want you three to stay as far away from them as possible." He looked at all of us.

I threw my hands up in surrender, "It's not me you have to worry about. He's not my type."

It sounded like a freaking disco for the anti-Christ. This alarm. This goddamned fucking alarm wouldn't shut up.

"My God!" I yelled as I climbed out of bed and threw this small clock to the ground angrily. I huffed and went over to the closet, grabbing a pair of skinny jeans a white blouse and my leather jacket to change into. I got dressed before I stormed out of my room and into the bathroom; cutting the line of my sisters completely.

"Noah!" Cameron and Tyler whined.

"Oh, bite me." I snapped before slamming the door shut in there faces. I like school, I just don't like the waking up part of it.
