It was my wedding day.

Two weeks had passed since Nathan asked me to marry him, but it still felt unreal. Every time I looked at the ring on my finger, my heart fluttered like it was the first time all over again.

I was standing in my room while the dressmaker fixed the last details of my gown. My hair was almost done, soft curls falling over my shoulders. When I caught my reflection in the mirror, I barely recognized myself.

I was smiling.

Truly smiling.

I was getting married to the man I loved.

My mate.

My safe place.

After everything I had been through… the pain, the loss, the fear… I was finally here.

A soft knock came at the door.

"Come in," I said, thinking it was one of the maids.

The door opened.

And my breath caught.

Nathan stood there.

Already dressed.

He was in a dark suit, perfectly fitted, his hair neatly styled. He looked so handsome it made my chest ache.

"Nathan," I said, laughing softly. "You're early."

He smiled at me, eyes warm. "I just wanted to check on you."

I raised a brow playfully. "You know it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding, right?"

He scoffed lightly and walked closer, placing a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"I don't believe in bad luck," he said. "Not when it comes to you."

I smiled. "You look handsome."

"And you look stunning," he replied proudly. "I'm so lucky to have you." Then his eyes sparkled with something playful.

"I have a surprise for you."

I gasped. "Another one?"

"Just say yes," he said, stepping aside. "Come in."

The door opened wider.

And I froze.

"Lila?!"

I screamed.

My childhood best friend stood there, smiling widely, her arms already open. She looked beautiful, confident, glowing.

I ran to her and hugged her tightly, laughing and crying at the same time.

"Oh my God," I sobbed. "You're here!"

"The last time I saw you was almost eleven years ago," she said, hugging me just as tightly. "And now you're getting married!"

I pulled back and looked at her properly. "You look amazing."

She laughed. "You should see yourself."

I turned to Nathan, eyes shining. "You did this?"

He nodded. "I found her. I thought you'd want her here."

I hugged him quickly. "Thank you."

He kissed my cheek and stepped out, giving us privacy.

The moment the door closed, Lila squealed.

"So," she said teasingly, "you finally picked Nathan."

I laughed softly. "I did."

She crossed her arms and nodded. "Good. He's the right choice."

She smiled knowingly. "I knew it."

We talked and laughed while the dressmaker finished up. Lila helped me with my veil, fixing it carefully like she had done this a hundred times before.

When everything was done, I stood alone in front of the mirror.

White dress.

Soft veil.

Bright eyes.

I placed a hand over my chest and took a deep breath.

This was really happening.

A knock came again.

This time, the door opened to reveal Peter.

He was dressed neatly, his expression soft when he saw me.

"You look beautiful, sis," he said gently.

I smiled at him. "Thank you."

He offered his arm. "Ready?"

I nodded.

My heart started racing as he walked me toward the hall. The doors were closed, but I could hear voices inside.

When the doors finally opened…

The hall was full.

Packed.

I saw familiar faces. Pack members. Friends. Family.

I saw my mother, her eyes full of tears.

I saw Ozzy, smiling proudly.
