Scott could feel Diane’s authority pressing down on him. Even though he hated it, he still dropped to his knees.

Scott let out a bitter laugh.

Scott just closed his eyes, staying on his knees, so tired he couldn’t even lift his head. Deep down, he knew he would never see Summer or their child again.
