"Over there," Barnaby spat, his face dark with fury after being thoroughly brushed off. "Who the hell does he think he is? Throwing his weight around just because of his last name. He didn't even have the decency to acknowledge me."

"I'm technically his elder," Barnaby seethed, his anger bubbling over. "Sheryl, this plan of yours better go off without a hitch tonight. I want Shanley Schwartz utterly ruined. I want the Schwartz family name dragged through the mud."

"I'm at the entrance. Tell the guard to let me in." She put the phone on speaker and held it out.

"M-Mr. Schwartz?" The guard snapped to attention, his voice cracking slightly.

"My wife is downstairs. Send her up immediately," Shanley ordered, his tone instantly dropping ten degrees, radiating pure ice.
