"Where?" Gino pressed, leaning in. "How many? Where are they?!"

"Dancing on your grave," Celine spat, her voice dripping with venom. "Why don't you drop dead and go find them?!"

Before he could react, she lunged at him like a wild animal, her hands locking onto his throat as she let out a hysterical laugh. "You want them? Wait for your next life!"

"Urgh!" Gino coughed. He hadn't expected the girl to be this feral, actually trying to strangle him with what little strength she had left.

Thud. He shoved her back effortlessly, sending her crashing to the floor. Almost instantly, a sharp, terrifying pain began to bloom across her abdomen.

"Lock her up." Gino wanted nothing more than to beat her senseless, but without the Boss's explicit permission, he didn't dare.

"Yes, sir." The guards hauled Celine off the floor and threw her onto the bed. The iron door was sealed shut.

Warren stood there in a rumpled shirt, his hair a mess, looking hollowed out. Slowly, he opened a drawer and pulled out a handgun.
