"Your father?" The researcher, terrified he had misheard, tentatively asked again, "Boss, you're saying this hair belongs to your father?"
"Yes." Juniper glanced back, her gaze sweeping over the transparent bag, her eyes darkening. "If the hair in that bag matches my DNA, then not only have I found my father, but I've found my mother as well."
"Huh?" The researcher was stunned. He had worked under her for over a decade. He had always heard her parents were dead, and that she had only recently reunited with her older siblings. "Congratulations, Boss!" he offered sincerely. "With a DNA test, we'll know for sure."
"Thanks." Juniper offered a faint smile and walked out.
"Juniper..." Michael and Shanley had just caught up and hadn't even had the chance to ask what was going on.
Juniper suddenly grabbed Shanley's hand. As she pulled him out the door, she called back, "Michael, keep an eye on the lab for me."
She arrived like a hurricane and left just as fast. Michael stood entirely bewildered, scratching his head as he watched them disappear. *What in the world is happening?*
Coming back to his senses, Michael rushed into the lab and let out a deafening screech the moment he heard the news.
"What?!" he yelled. "That little terror actually found her parents?"
"The Boss dropped off the hair samples herself," the technician answered respectfully. "She never does anything unless she's sure."
"So she's ninety percent sure." Michael stared at the samples, muttering to himself, "I'm not gonna lie, I really want to meet them. I want to see exactly what kind of genetics it takes to produce a kid this terrifyingly brilliant."
"Oh, crap." Michael suddenly remembered something crucial and instantly dialed Juniper's number. "Juniper, any news on Celine?"
"She's at Sanctum Holdings," Juniper replied from the backseat of the car, her gaze freezing over. "I'm going to get her out."
