"I didn't sleep well." Kurt admitted honestly, the corner of his lips curling up. "I was so happy I stayed awake all night."

"Let's get ready for breakfast." Kurt carried the savory crullers back to her side, glancing down at her hand before carefully grabbing it. "Step out first, the kitchen is too dangerous, don't get hurt."

"I'm not a child." Ebony Fox struggled a couple of times but couldn't break free, so she just let him be.

"I know you aren't." Kurt pulled a chair out for her and gently pushed her down into it. "Sit tight and don't move around, I'll go get the soup."
