"In my opinion, he's a genuinely good man you can rely on for the rest of your life."

Ebony Fox listened quietly as the girl showered him with endless praise, finally unable to hold back a chuckle. "Did Kurt put you on his payroll? You're laying it on a little thick!"

"I mean it from the bottom of my heart!" Polly said earnestly. "I swear to the heavens, I'm telling the truth!"

"Alright, alright."

Ebony Fox patted her shoulder gently. "Get back to work then. I'm going to lie down in my office for a bit."

"What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?"

"Yeah," Ebony Fox nodded, her face looking rather pale. "Just severe cramps."

"You need to go rest right now." Polly quickly took the files from her hands. "I'll handle everything else out here."

Ebony Fox nodded. "Thanks."

Kurt returned from the racing association.

He scanned the lobby but couldn't spot Ebony Fox anywhere.

"Polly, where's Ebony Fox?" Kurt held two milkshakes, handing one to his little matchmaker assistant.

"Mr. Boyfriend!"

Polly immediately stood at attention, pointing toward the office with a concerned frown. "She doesn't seem to be feeling well."

"What's wrong?" Kurt's brow furrowed, and he immediately started toward the office.

"Wait."

Polly quickly stopped him, handing him a freshly brewed mug of Ginger Tea with Honey. "It's a women's issue. Have her drink this, it'll help soothe her stomach."

Kurt was confused for a second before realization hit him. "Thank you."

"No problem." Polly shook the milkshake, offering an innocent smile. "By the way, I'm not a big fan of coconut jelly. Could you add Taro Gnocchi next time?"

"Sure, no problem!"

Kurt shook his head helplessly. What a foodie.

Inside the office.

Ebony Fox was curled up on the sofa, a thin layer of cold sweat clinging to the stray hairs on her forehead.

She was pale and looked truly sick.

"What are you doing here?" Seeing Kurt, Ebony Fox forced her eyes open. "Finished with the racing team already?"
