“It's not convenient to say.” Shanley, who hadn't slept for dozens of hours, looked terrible. He spoke slowly, “Just inform her as soon as possible.”
Michael gave the man a long, hard look. “Figures,” he muttered. “Nothing but nonsense from you.”
Specter hated him to the bone. Why was he in such a hurry to see her? Did he have a death wish?!
“Keep a close watch on him,” Michael ordered in a low voice. He then suggested to the others, “Let’s not tell Specter we’ve captured the leader of the Sigma Network just yet. We’ll make it a surprise for her.”
Juniper was finally back; she deserved some good news to cheer her up.

At Base 1.
After countless tests, Juniper finally identified the cause of the gas leak.
“You all need to be extremely careful with your experiments from now on.” Juniper removed her protective suit and mask, admonishing the researchers as she washed her hands. “If I hadn’t arrived in time, this entire lab would have been lost.”
“Yes, ma’am.” The researchers, still shaken, nodded vigorously. “We’ve cleared all the harmful gases from the air. The lab should be safe to use after two days of ventilation. We owe you for this one, Boss.”
“It was nothing.” Juniper gave a faint smile. As she was drying her hands, one of the researchers spoke up again. “Boss, that micro-bomb you took with you a few days ago... you didn't end up using it?”
It was a new prototype that hadn't even been tested yet. The boss had said the Sigma Network guys were tough, making them perfect test subjects. Logically, if she had used it, their leader would be long dead.
Hearing this, Juniper’s body tensed slightly. She had indeed brought the micro-bomb. Before entering the cabin, she had deliberately provoked the Sigma Network members, and while disassembling a gun, she had slipped the micro-bomb into the ship's cabin.
All she had to do was press a button, and the bomb would release a large amount of neurotoxic gas. She and Luella had already taken the antidote, so everyone in the cabin except them would have been paralyzed. Subterra Vanguard's forces would have used that opportunity to toss in a barrage of micro-bombs. They were designed to detonate on impact. In less than five seconds, the Sigma Network's ship would have been reduced to ashes.
“Oh.” Juniper pressed her lips together, her voice slightly hoarse as she answered evasively, “I didn’t get the chance to use it.”
