Filming was finally over. Juniper dragged her exhausted body back to the dressing room.

“You’re back?” Shanley, true to his word about being a 'devoted boyfriend,' had obediently hidden in the room and hadn't stepped out once.

“Yeah,” Juniper mumbled, bending over with a pale face.

“What’s wrong?” Shanley immediately noticed something was off. He strode over, pulling her into his arms. “Is your stomach bothering you?” he asked gently.

“Mhm,” Juniper nodded, her hands pressed against his chest in slight discomfort.

“I get it.” Shanley carried her into the bathroom and set her down on the heated toilet seat. “Wait for me for a bit,” he said softly.

“Okay.” Juniper squeezed her hands, waiting quietly.

A few minutes later, Shanley returned, holding a package of feminine hygiene products. He knocked on the door. It opened a crack, and with his back turned, he passed the items to her. “Call me when you’re done,” he whispered.

Juniper didn’t say anything, just closed the door. Staring at the package in her hand, her cheeks grew warm. Where did he even find this?

After taking care of things, Juniper had just opened the bathroom door when Shanley lifted her into his arms and placed her on the bed.

He handed her a cup of warm water. She opened her mouth to ask, but he explained first, “No one saw me. I got them from the car. I keep some stocked up in there, just in case you ever need them.”

“Oh.” Juniper awkwardly tugged at the corner of her mouth. After drinking the water, her whole body started to feel warm.

“Let’s rest here tonight and leave tomorrow.” The drive from the filming location back to Cloudscape Community would take a while. Since she wasn’t feeling well, Shanley didn’t want to put her through the journey.
