"No. Nothing happened," she lied.
Yeah, as if I would ever believe that. No one just cries when nothing happened. I needed to get information.
"Look, I know how mean those girls can be. Please just tell me!" I raised my voice at the last sentence.
"Look why do you even care!" She wiped her tears that were rolling down her cheeks.
She looked down at the ground, sniffing and sighing. "Just please. Leave me alone," she asked, trying her best to remain calm and collected despite the fact that she has already failed.
"Not until you tell me," I told her sternly.
"Those cheerleaders... T-they were just..."
"Kath, look at me," I lifted her face up to see a big red hand mark on the left side of her face. What did those girls do to her?
"Katherine did they to this?" I asked referring to the hand mark on her face. What a stupid question!
"Well. What do you think?" She puffed out. "Look I'm done here. I'm just going to go home."
I coud see that she's really tired and didn't want to talk about this, so I let go of her arm.
"Do you want me to drop you off?" Hoping she'd say yes.
"No. I'm fine. I can manage."
But of course... Of course, she'd say no. She wouldn't want a stranger driving her to her house.
Wait... I wonder if she actually thinks of me as a stranger. Huh. I did the only thing that I could think of. Which was to walk her to her car.
"I hope you feel better soon."
"Thanks," and with that she starts her engine and head off.
Hmm, what a day.
Kath's POV
I kept on sobbing and sped off.
