Quensilla's POV
"So...why were you and glow boy over there so late?"
"Glow boy?" I snort.
"Cmon, tell me you don't see him glowing." I watch as Theodore grins at Christopher, he does look a bit brighter.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." I murmur as the boys approach our table.
"Hey." Theodore greets me and Lauren moves over so he could sit.
"Hey." I smile.
And there they were.
The butter, butter, butterflies.
I refuse to acknowledge their meaning. I refuse.
He pulls out his tray and I stare at the contents in shock.
"Can you eat all that?" I gape.
"I'm a growing boy." He smirks. "Why aren't you eating?"
Believe it or not but my purse is sitting on my kitchen counter, happily not being used.
And this was the day I decided to be extra hungry.
"I left my money home."
"Here. Want some of my fries?" He offers.
"Oh, no thank you." I shake my head.
"No really, here." He pushes the fries towards me and I push them back.
"I'm alright Theodore." He lets out an exasperated sigh before shrugging.
"So... how was last night?" As soon as I opened my mouth to talk, a bunch of fries was shoved in my mouth.
I nearly choke and he smiles.
The rest were just staring at us in shock, amusement, and confusion. Especially Lauren.
"There ya go. See, wasn't that hard."
"So what are you doing later?" Theodore asks as we exit the last class of the day.
Finally.
"Nothing, I think I'll just head home." I shrug and he nods. "You have plans?"
"No. not really." It was Friday and I assumed he might have a party to go to but here we are.
"You..." I can't believe I'm doing this. "You wanna come over to hang out?"
"What? You mean Netflix and chill?" He smirks and I roll my eyes amused.
"No, stupid. Just hang out." He chuckles.
"Sure. Let me freshen up and I'll get right back to ya. Say...3?" I nod and he winks. I creepily stare at his back as he walks away.
I breathe out, shaking my head. I didn't even feel disgusted when he made that Netflix N Chill joke.
What's happening?!
Somebody, please tell me-
"Quensilla?" I turn quickly to find Ocean and I frown, noticing the bandage on his nose. "I want to apologize... for throwing the drink all over you. That was fairly rude on my part."
"Oh...its okay..."
"But you wanna know what's rude on your part?" I raise an eyebrow, not liking where this was going. "Ignoring the first friend you made here."
I frown, its kinda true.
"I'm sorry...things have been hectic." He chuckles. "I can tell...you wanna grab some coffee?"
"Right now?" He nods. I bite my lip and stare at my watch.
2:39.
I have time.
Right?
"So you and Theodore?" He says after loads of boring meaningless topics and I blush at the mention. I don't say no immediately and its starting to bother me.
"Oh...no." I murmur and he smiles.
"That's good." He beams and I raise an eyebrow at him. My eyes catch a glimpse of my hand and they widen.
3:57.
"What're you doing in here?!" I screech, pulling the towel closer to me and his eyes were wide.
"I was bored."
"Um...well I need to change now..." He quickly regains composure before standing and shaking his head.
"My bad." He winks and I roll my eyes at the door, breathing in.
"I'm fresh now!" I scream jumping on him as he lay fast asleep on my couch.
I didn't stay that long dressing, he was just in my room ten minutes ago. Yeesh.
He chokes before wheezing and I giggle.
"Woman. Are you trying to kill me?" He jokes and I purse my lips trying to contain the laughter.
When did we all of a sudden get so close?
Why do I like it?
Aren't I supposed to hate it?
But this is part of letting go right?
He smiles at me and I blush, realizing the position we were in. I crawl off him, and he sits up, moving a bit closer to me.
His eyes move to my slightly damp hair, reaching to touch it and I let him. Slowly, he moved from my roots to the ends, tugging lightly just to spite me.
I give him a playful glare and he returns a lopsided grin.
We lock eyes and I can't help as the blush returns. His hands move from my hair to my face, caressing my cheek and soon we're both leaning in.
He stops, "is it... is it okay?"
I nod, already breathing hard and he doesn't wait to join our lips. I groan as backflips and butterflies seemed to have formed some alliance.
He's slow, gentle and...and I like it.
I move my hands to his hair and he tugs at my lips, asking for entrance to which I grant him. He explores my mouth with his tongue and before we know it, disappointingly, the kiss is over.
He leans away, frowning and searching my eyes as if asking if I was going to run away or lash out at him.
But I wasn't, I only plant a firm kiss on his cheek, and his fave looks relieved as we lay our foreheads together.
It is what it is.
No matter how fast, or how slow.
