Aurelia's P.O.V.

Anthony's face showed surprise, "How could your injury be related to this?"

I sighed helplessly, "You know that besides me, the Lopez Family doesn't have any other connections at Strakovski Jewelry. But Bella wants to marry Gerald, so she can only find a way through me. My mother used what my father left for me to threaten me to ask Lukas to help Bella get into Strakovski Jewelry."

I looked weary, "I really had no other option. The Hughes Family was hesitating and didn't know which family to form an alliance with. My mother kept urging me to beg Lukas for help. But she pushed too hard, and considering Lukas's personality, there's no way she would easily let someone with questionable behavior like Bella to enter the company. Anthony furrowed his brows, trying to remain composed, "Do you need anything?"

Ella's voice was filled with sorrow, "I'm pregnant. I want to see you before I go to register with Gerald. Where are you?"

Anthony's expression changed slightly upon hearing the news, "You're pregnant?"

Ella cried with self-mockery, "Yes, I'm pregnant. Now the whole of Mediopolis knows about Gerald and me. He's like a stinky bug, and even my parents will make me marry him."

Anthony pursed his lips, finding it hard to respond to her emotional outpouring, "That's your own business," he finally said, trying to distance himself from the situation.

Ella sobbed, "Anthony, you're really ruthless."

Anthony remained silent.

Ella felt heartbroken; she had liked this person for so long, but in the end, things turned out like this. Her emotions were raw, and her pain was palpable as she said while crying, "Anthony, I want to see you one last time. Can I?"

Third person P.O.V.

Outside the door, Lukas's eyes darkened. He sneered mockingly, wondering if this solution could really solve the root problem.

His gaze fell on Aurelia's swollen foot, and he felt an inexplicable pang of heartache.

Thinking about what Aurelia had said, Lukas suddenly understood why he couldn't find anything even after investigating for a whole day. Aurelia must have encountered some trouble, and it seemed that Victoria was using something to threaten her.

His eyes deepened, remembering that he had warned Victoria not to lay a hand on Aurelia again, or he wouldn't be polite.
