I decide to go for a little nature walk. We've all been cooped up inside the training building and haven't been outside since we got here. I walk outside, there's woods surrounding us from every direction. I walk at a slow pace, enjoying the scenery. The sky is a beautiful blue, and the green of the leaves contrasts beautifully against the color of the sky. I listen; I can hear a creek flowing, birds chirping, bugs flying around, squirrels running, and someone walking up behind me..
"Young lady, what do you think you're doing out here?" I turn around to see Alpha Chris, with his arms crossed. He doesn't look happy.
"I'm just taking a walk, Alpha."
"Shouldn't you be in class?"
"Alpha Felix has excused me for today. I had to go to the nurses office yesterday because someone smashed my head against the walk during lunch." He nods.
"Okay, but you need to come back into the training building. You aren't suppose to be out here unsupervised."
I nod and walk over to him and we go back into the building. I guess I'm trapped in here all day. Great.
Personal Visit
I am about to die or boredom. I have probably paced my room back and forth about a thousand times now. I have organized then reorganized my bag. I have cleaned up the room. Now I just lay on my bed staring at the ceiling, and it's not even lunch time. I count how many tiles are on the ceiling. 247. That's a lot of tiles. I decide to count them again, nope, still 247. I don't know why I expected it to change.
I hear a knock on the door and I leap up, excited that Maya has come by. I open the door, but it's not Maya standing there.
We trot back the way we came, and search for my clothes. Once we find them I shift back and get dressed. I come walking out of the woods, when that wonderful smell hits me. I look up to see a very unhappy Felix with his arms crossed.
"Amber, I thought Chris told you not to be out here unsupervised." He says in his authoritative tone. I look down. "He did but-" "No buts, you defied a direct order from one of the Alphas. That is against the rules." I continue to look down. "I'm sorry Alpha." He sighs. "You will help me clean up the work room after every class for the rest of the week. Now go eat lunch then go upstairs and put your uniform on. Since you're well enough to go running around in the woods you're well enough to come to class." I nod. "Yes Alpha."
My Hero
I walk into the cafeteria, about to starve. They have good food out, as usual, and I layer my plate with food. I look over to see Maya sitting with Logan and Blaine, who's staring me down like a hawk. I sigh and take a seat at an empty table in the front of the cafeteria, on the other side of the room; closer to the Alpha table.
Should I tell Felix what Blaine did? I feel it was completely out of line, and I feel extremely violated as well. I've never kissed anyone before, and Blaine just stole that from me. I hate him for that.
