I sat down at the bar and Alexander went behind it and started pulling out bottles of alcohol and a couple of glasses.
"What do you want to drink?" I looked at the options, but being a non-drinker, they all pretty much looked the same to me. I shrugged.
"What do you suggest?'' He grinned and popped the cap off one of them, god knows what it was, I couldn't see the label and he poured me a glass. Sliding it across the bar to me. I thanked him and took a big gulp... And instantly regretted it.
"Wow.. wow, careful. You're not used to it. Your tolerance level is non-existent, you'll be pissed before you even finish the glass''. I felt myself blush and put the glass back down. It wasn't the nicest tasting liquid, but, it wasn't the worst either.
"Tell me some stories'' I randomly blurted out. He finished pouring his drink, downed it in one, which was... impressive, and leaned against the bar, close to me.
"What stories are you wanting to hear?"
"I don't know... about here, Ron, you, mum, the gang... anything''. He took a sharp breath in through gritted teeth and let out a long sigh.
"There isn't much to tell". I laughed out loud sarcastically and took another big mouthful of my drink.
"That is complete and utter bullshit. You don't get taken in for questioning and have a wall of mug shots if there isn't much to tell. Jemma already said you guys have done some serious shit, so...?"
"What serious shit has Jemma told you?" Ah, crap, maybe I shouldn't have said that...
"Nothing much. So.. why don't you tell me?'' He didn't answer, instead, he poured himself another drink, downed it and then poured one more. "What, not gonna down that one as well?" He grinned.
"Nah". He let out a long, slightly overdramatic sign and came to sit down next to me on the barstool. "I can't tell you anything about the club. Not until Ron is ok with it. You're his kid, it's his business... It's his choice''. I nodded, understanding. "Same with stories about him... That's his call''.
"Ok.. so, what can you tell me?"
"I've been to prison a few times, drugs, violence... attempted murder, but those charges were dropped".
"Wow, truth bomb". He shrugged.
"I'm not ashamed of my past. It showed my loyalty to my gang and my brothers".
"I suppose so..."
"Are you uncomfortable with Felons?'' His question caught me off guard a little.
"N-no... I've just never met one before with such a serious rap-sheet".
"Don't you have criminals in the UK?'' I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.
