Summary for Chapter 62: His Arrogant Human Mate

Summary of Chapter 62 – A pivotal chapter in His Arrogant Human Mate by Sindy

The chapter Chapter 62 is one of the most intense moments in His Arrogant Human Mate, written by Sindy. With signature elements of the Internet genre, this part of the story reveals deep conflicts, shocking revelations, and decisive character changes. A must-read for anyone following the narrative.

Nina shouldered roughly past me and I had to clench my fists to keep from snatching her stupid perfect, sleek ponytail. I really needed to get a handle on my anger issues. But didn't she deserve it a little? Just a little ponytail pulling?

I almost dropped my coffee mug when I heard the back door open. Some part of me expected Dominic to go to the front door and knock or something, but it was his own house, of course he would come in whatever way he wanted.

"Good morning, sugar," he greeted, closing the door behind him. "Did you go back to sleep?"

I shook my head slowly, taking another sip of my drink. Dominic stood behind me, wrapping his arms around my stomach and resting his chin on my head before hugging me tightly. "No? What did you do all morning?"

My mind was a bit distracted. Seemingly unbeknownst to Dom, he had walked in here in full glory. Full, unclothed, naked glory. Now all that was pressing into my body and my mark was sending something strong to my nether regions. "Caroline," he hummed, kissing my cheek. "What did you do?"

"I went on a walk," I said quietly, desperately attempting to get a handle on these new bodily functions.

I tensed up when Dominic sniffed the air suddenly before letting out a low chuckle. "Oh, sugar," he murmured in my ear. "That's new, isn't it?"

My cheeks went bright red as I buried my face in my hands. "It's not me! It's this thing on my neck!" I cried.

Dominic laughed in amusement while grabbing a handful of my hair to access his Mark on me. His nose brushed against it while he inhaled the scent there before kissing it repeatedly and affectionately. "Stop it, you're making it worse," I grumbled.

"If you think this is bad, baby girl, just wait until you go into heat," Dominic claimed, causing me to groan. "I wondered what your arousal would smell like."

I grunted in discomfort as he pulled on my hair, making my head tip backwards awkwardly and somewhat painfully. "Dom, stop," I whined. "That hurts."

He inhaled repeatedly, the hold in my hair relaxing slightly. But not enough to let me slip away, which is what I tried to do. "Dominic!"I snapped when he lightly bit the skin of my throat.

This only amused him more. "You're objecting, but your scent gets thicker. How funny," he teased, kissing the side of my face before combing his fingers through my hair a couple times and releasing gently.

My cheeks were warm and I avoided his gaze. "Can we not talk about that? I can't control it. It isn't me. I'm not- No. You aren't arousing me."

Dominic huffed from the bathroom, where he was trimming the scruff on his chin and jaw. "C'mon, gorgeous. You can just leave me second guessing myself like this. In comparison to others you've seen-"

"I don't have anything to compare it to, okay?" I muttered, reaching around him to steal my bottle of hairspray.

His hands rested on my hips, holding me in place tightly. "I forgot. You're a little virgin, huh?" he cooed at me. Before I could try to say something clever, he shrugged carelessly. "Not for long. And like I said before, I prefer it this way. I should have you first, as your mate, your male."

"You're just asking to get bitch-slapped today."

Dominic laughed, eyes glowing warmly at me. "You're hilarious. I love that about you. And you're just beautiful."

"Humor and looks. That's all I've got going for me?" I asked dryly.

Dominic smiled softly, reaching up to cup my cheek with one hand to kiss my lips tenderly. His gentleness always shocked me. I could never prepare for it, for some reason. This time, it made my knees wobble a little bit and my hands lifted to rest on his chest. I wanted to kiss him back, which was a new development. And I promised myself and him to give it a fair chance, so I didn't fight it this time.
