Chapter 22

Violet bit her lip, stomped her foot, and had a very unpleasant expression on her face.

“Braxton, you said you didn’t want to marry me, so I took the initiative to call off the engagement. Is there anything else you’re not satisfied with? I just want us to go back to how things were

before.”

“I was wrong to snatch Lilyana’s life–saving grace, and I have also been punished. Will you forgive

me?”

She shouted loudly towards the door, but Braxton still didn’t respond.

On the contrary, Branden and Deven were disturbed and walked out with a serious expression on

their faces.

“What are you arguing about?” Branden said displeased.

Violet’s voice instantly softened as she pouted in a resentful manner, “I wanted to find Braxton to ask him for help with my medication, but he refused. Can you guys help me?”

She looked at the two of them pleadingly as she spoke.

Deven quickly refused, “No, he didn’t want to, and I didn’t want to either. Don’t you have hands of your own? Don’t you have a mirror?”

Branden was just as indifferent.

Violet’s face froze for a moment as she saw the brooch on Branden’s black loungewear, and Deven had put on gemstone earrings, looking even more rebellious, her heart sank.

Those were all gifts that Lilyana had given them, and under her persuasion, they stored them away

in the bottom of the box, even despising them immensely.

I never expected that they would actually wear it now.

She clenched her fist and gritted her teeth, pretending to be gentle as she said, “Branden, Deven, I know you can’t let go of Lilyana. I won’t be an obstacle between you two, I just hope you both find

happiness.”

“I have a solution, I can be your scapegoat to deal with Madam Marquez, and I can also help you arrange a meeting with Lilyana. As long as you treat her well, play the hero and express your feelings to her, she will definitely be moved.”

“Maybe we will reconcile with you soon.

Speaking of which, Braxton’s door had also opened at some point.

He silently listened to Violet’s plan.

Branden raised an eyebrow and asked, “Oh, really? Tell me more about your plan

Violet’s lips curled slightly upwards as she smirked, and she continued, “Thelped you guys arrange a meeting with Lilyana. I took her out to a bar, and if she gets into any trouble after getting drink won’t you be able to save her?”

She spoke and, in front of them, directly messaged Lilyana.

“Lilyana, I know I have done many wrong things. I want to apologize to you sincerely. After this, I have no intention of disturbing you anymore. My mother and I plan to leave the Marquez family. We may never see each other again in the future. Can we meet one last time?

Not long after, Lilyana replied with a simple “okay“.

Violet smiled satisfactorily and said, “Look, she agreed.”

Then, she sent the address: “Tomorrow night at six o’clock, Nightshade Bar, we won’t miss each

other.”

The Marquez family looked slightly relieved, and Deven nodded slightly, “Okay, then you go ahead and execute your plan, we will be there on time tomorrow.”

Seeing Branden and Braxton also nodded, Violet couldn’t help but smile, humming a song on the

way back to her room.

However, right after she sent a message to the thug she had just met, she was immediately knocked

unconscious.

Deven shook the baseball bat in his hand, his eyes filled with disgust. He picked up her phone and

threw it to Braxton.

Braxton casually pressed a series of numbers to unlock and saw the message that had just been

sent.

“Davis, tomorrow I will drug the woman in the photo. You can do whatever you want with her, but remember, do not mention my name, no matter who approaches you!”

The other side immediately replied with the word “understood“. This familiar conversation clearly

wasn’t the first time.

Braxton’s hand holding the phone tightened continuously, his face as

das ice.
